Serge is originally from Geneva, Switzerland so watches are practically in his DNA. He has a true passion for timepieces which has served him well during his 29 years in both retail and manufacturing roles for large watch groups as well as independent watchmakers.
Serge got his start in watchmaking in 1988 at Interdica Cartier in Fribourg. He then worked at Tiffany & Co. as head of production and supply. Next, Serge was offered the position of sales manager at Marina B.Genève where he was eventually promoted to Managing Director. He then spent time in Monaco with the noted Gerald Genta where he further developed his appreciation and understanding of watch design and movement complications. Serge returned to Geneva in 2001 to accept an assignment with the French jeweler, Mauboussin where he managed the watch division and directed the company’s Geneva distribution center. In 2004, following Mauboussin’s decision to return to Paris, Serge joined the Geneva-based brand Jean-Mairet & Gillman where he started the brand’s international distribution operation. In 2006, a then newly established independent watchmaker named Franc Vila sought out Serge to assist them in launching their brand. Serge readily accepted the challenge, ultimately ascending to the roles of COO and CEO. After eight years Serge joined SNYPER Watches, another Swiss independent brand which he successfully managed as CEO until 2016. With his background and experience, Serge Aebischer is a welcome addition to the Tockr team.
